Saturday Club Paddle

Saturday paddles are on local rivers and run throughout the year. They are suitable for active members of at least British Canoeing Paddle Discover standard (formerly BCU 1*). 

The paddle starts from the base at 9.30am. Please arrive a few minutes earlier to get changed and set up your boat and other equipment.

We typically finish by 12.30, depending on the route taken. Click here to see the routes we normally paddle.

You should wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting wet, ideally quick drying, with additional layers for colder days. You may want to bring a bottle of drink, towel and extra clothes to change into after the paddle. As it gets colder, you will see some members in drysuits, however many members paddle without them throughout the winter so please do not feel that you need to acquire one.
